Spring 2010 HIKE SCHEDULE and DIRECTIONS TO HIKES

 

Nature hikes for Winter 2010 of “NATURAL HISTORY OF THE SF BAY AREA” begin on:

TUESDAY APRIL 6 OR WEDNESDAY APRIL 7

Join us to experience the beauty & astonishing natural diversity of the SF Bay Area. Weekly natural history field trips explore habitats & trails of the coast, forests, mountains & marshes. Flora, fauna & fun! Tell a friend! (Hikes 10:00-3:00; easy to moderate; 3-5 miles; terrain variable; rain or shine.)

TUITION: $165/full 10-week series (includes free Guest Pass). Half-session, $100/any 5 classes. Drop-ins $25/class (exact change or check please).

REGISTRATION: use method "A" OR "B" below. Class size limited—pre-registration recommended.

A. TO PRE-REGISTER BY MAIL: Print out Registration form) and send with your check to the address on the form (or payment due by class #1).

B. TO REGISTER AT FIRST CLASS: Check HIKE SCHEDULE for location of first hike

CLASS LOCATIONS:  Meet each week at a designated Bay Area trailhead. Hiking itinerary & driving directions will be distributed to registrants at Class #1. Complete HIKE SCHEDULE, LOCATIONS, & DIRECTIONS are posted on this web site. Bring binoculars, lunch & hiking gear.

DROP-INS & MAKE-UP HIKES: Check out the HIKE SCHEDULE & trailhead DIRECTIONS for both Tuesday & Wednesday classes. Destinations subject to change—please confirm location with a Registrant or Instructor before coming.
 

HIKE SCHEDULE

Classes typically meet at the specified field site at 10am & conclude by 3:00. We hike rain or shine, but in case of heavy rain or storms, trips may be revised or cancelled. Current registrants will be notified of any last minute itinerary changes via phone tree or e-mail. “Drop-ins” are welcome ($25/class)—please confirm the trip destination with a class member or the instructor before coming.
